Dr. Can Van Luc is currently Chief Economist of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) cum President of  BIDV Training and Research Institute. He is a Member of the Bank Board’s Risk Management Committee and Organizational & Strategy Committee. He is also a Member of the National Fiscal and Monetary Policy Advisory Council and a Member of Vietnam National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (VNCPEC).

Prior to his return to Vietnam in early 2009, he was a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and a Humphrey Fellow (under a Fulbright exchange program) in the US during 2007-2009. In 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C and Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. In 2003, Dr. Luc was the only Vietnamese to have received the prestigious Australia-Asia Award for his doctorate program.

Dr. Luc is a frequent speaker for various TV reports, issues on economics, banking-finance, and economics/finance conferences.  He has a number of articles published in the Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of Asia-Pacific Economy, China Economic Review, and Journal of Asset Management. Dr. Luc holds an MBA and a Doctor of Business Administration – DBA (major in Finance) from Monash University, Australia, both under the Australian government scholarships.

Mr. Tu Anh is currently Director General of Department General Economics, Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission. He was Former Deputy Director General of Monetary Policy Department, State Bank of Vietnam.

Dr. Tu Anh obtained his PhD in Economics from Paris School of Economics (Paris 1 University, France), M.A. in Economic Theory and Econometrics from Midi-Pyrénée School of Economics, Université Toulouse 1 (Toulouse, France), M.A. of Development Economics from Institute of Social Studies (The Hague, the Netherlands) & National Economics University (Hanoi, Vietnam).

Mr. Tuong is a portfolio manager of a Singapore-based APS Asset Management Pte Ltd. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in commercial banking, management consulting and equity investment. Mr. Tuong holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and is a CFA Chartered Holder (CFA).

Mr. Linh is Chief Economist cum Head of strategic R&D of SSI. He is also a member of Index Committee of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, member of economic report group of Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, member of credit committee of SSI. Besides economics, Mr. Linh works well with market strategy and stock selection. Before joining SSI in 2007, he worked as a legal consultant in Singapore. Mr. Linh holds a Law Degree from Hanoi Law University and a MBA from NTU (Singapore). He is also pursuing CFA.
